Many Paths All Around Sampler Quilt

During this 6 session class, learn 2 methods to sew curved pieces into 12 blocks. The easy method doesn’t even require sewing curves!  The more challenging method uses templates to cut the 2 curved shapes. You may make your own templates from cardboard or template plastic (or you may use Sheryl’s templates).

If you use only 2 colors your quilt will look more traditional.  If you use batiks, the easy method is recommended because batiks are stiff and are difficult to sew the curves.

For a scrappy look, I suggest using 1 dark and 1 light fat quarter per block. (total of 12 dark and 12 light fat quarters).

Fabric requirements:

For blocks using 2 colors: Dark: 3 1/2 yards; Light: 3 1/2 yards

For sashing: Dark: 1 5/8 yards; Light: 1/4 yard

Outer border and binding: 1 3/4 yards

Fusible interfacing for easy method: 5/8 yard

Finished size of quilt is approximately 66” x 85” (twin bed size).  Extra blocks or borders can be added to make the quilt larger.
